LATRICE BANKHEAD – Health and Wellness Coordinator at Millis. As a former Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach and Clinical Dietitian, Latrice has developed and delivered health and performance recommendations and education for corporate and individual clients who wanted to get healthier. She has partnered with clients over the last 10 years, getting results through learning more about how their bodies work and altering their lifestyle by making sound, yet functional health choices. She obtained dual Masters of Science degrees at James Madison University in Dietetics and Kinesiology; and a Bachelors of Science at Indiana State University (ISU) in Fitness and Exercise Science. In addition to being a scholarship basketball player at ISU, she has competed professionally as a fitness model with the World Natural Sports Organization. She continues her mission as an advocate of health and total wellness by serving on the Board of Directors for the Guilford County Health Advisory Board and here at the Millis Regional Health Education Center and High Point Regional Hospital as the Health and Wellness Coordinator.

LORI DAVENPORT – Health Educator. Lori is a Registered Nurse who earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to Millis, she enjoyed 12 years as a Birthing Suites nurse and 6 years teaching Childbirth Education classes at Women’s Hospital in Greensboro. Since she joined the Millis team in 2003, she has delighted in teaching health education classes to thousands of children with a creative style that’s fun and amusing as well as educational.

SUSAN FOX – Health Educator. Susan received her Masters of Education degree in Health Education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri at St. Louis. She has worked as the Health Director of the Davidson County, Lexington City and Thomasville City School Systems and has been an elementary school teacher. After taking time off to be a stay at home mom, Susan is thrilled to be back working with groups of children leading the fun and excitement of this type of theatrical teaching. “Work has never been so much fun! It’s health edutainment!”

CHARLA POSEY – Administrative Assistant for Millis Health Education Center and Employee Wellness.
Charla was licensed by the State of North Carolina in Life, Accident and Health Insurance and worked in the insurance industry for 14 years prior to joining the Millis team. Her friendly voice will be the first one heard when contacting our department! She schedules our classes and keeps data and financial records of Millis Center visits. In addition, she works with a variety of hospital departments and community groups to coordinate meeting rooms and equipment availability and use here at the Millis Center. Her sense of humor is contagious and her motto is “Don’t ever grow up!” She is blessed with an angelic voice that she shares often when asked to sing for hospital functions.

MR. BONES – Mr. Bones has been working with the Millis Center staff since 1998. This dedicated volunteer has a “tendoncy” toward being kind of quiet, but his “humerus” approach to life has endeared many visitors over the years. Even when things get really busy for him, he never gets his nose out of “joint.” He comes from a well-respected family with no “skeletons” in the closet. He has not yet married because, in his words, “Most girls I meet are nothing but skin and bones.” Anyway, be sure to come by and visit him while you’re here – you can even “rib” him a little about how handsome he is…
