Millis Health Center Dana Fitzgerald, Education and Marketing Coordinator at Millis, is a Certified Health Education Specialist, CHES. She earned her a BS degree in Public Health Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Soon after her graduation from College, she began her journey with Millis Regional Health Education Center. Her first role was as a part-time educator and this progressed into a full-time educator position and is currently Education and Marketing Coordinator. She began working for the Center in 1998, the first year it opened. Dana is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the YMCA and the Guilford County Health Advisory Board.

Her favorite quote from a child visiting the Center is "this place is kind of like heaven, only better".

  health education Julie Samuels, Community Outreach Development Associate. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Relations, concentrating in Social Work. Julie has been with High Point Regional Health System since the spring of 1999 in the Development Department. She splits her time between 3 community outreach programs the hospital supports Guilford School Health Alliance, The Community Clinic of High Point and the Millis Regional Health Education Center.

Julie is on the Executive committee of the Boards of Directors for the Mental Health Association, a member of Communities In Schools Recruitment Committee and Career Mentor Volunteer. Also, the past 2 years she has been an active Loaned Executive with United Way campaigns, a member of the Junior League of High Point, Inc., and a member of the Teen Leadership Steering Committee through the High Point Chamber.

 

children's health Lori Davenport, Health Educator at Millis, is a Registered Nurse who earned her BS degree in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She worked as a Labor and Delivery nurse at Women's Hospital of Greensboro for twelve years. In addition to teaching programs here at the Millis Center, he is a Certified Childbirth Educator and teaches childbirth and sibling classes at Women's Hospital of Greensboro. She enjoys teaching children and adults in a manner that is creative and fun as well as educational.
