SAFESITTER PROGRAM

We offer this nationally acclaimed babysitting workshop several times each year.  It is a medically accurate, hands-on class designed to teach 11-13 year olds the responsibilities of caring for young children.  Each participant must pass a written exam proving mastery of key concepts.  Students must also demonstrate acceptable skills in care of the choking infant/child. 

Safe Sitters learn:

  • What to do when a child chokes
  • Safety for the sitter
  • How to call for emergency help
  • Babysitting business skills
  • Basic child care skills (diapering, feeding, etc.)
  • How to entertain children and keep them safe
